Bubble adapter

It also reduces the risk of introducing silicone oil and other particles into the medicine. The adapter allows accurate, efficient, and safe conditions to prefill syringes developed by SJJ Solutions. Its design allows air-free prefilling, which reduces the need for flicking and the risk of agitation significantly. This feature, in combination with the adapter being silicone- and particle-free, ultimately leads to a safer injection. The silicone oil-free 5µm filter needle from SJJ Solutions can be placed onto the Bubble Adapter to complete the silicone oil-free trail from vial to patient.
The Zero Residual™ concept ensures precise dosing and control throughout the procedure, prioritizing safety. It allows users to prefill syringes air-free and eliminates the risk of silicone oil contamination, offering a silicone oil-free preparation. With a low residual volume, it maximizes medication use and reduces waste.
Currently, ophthalmologists use Zero Residual™ primarily for anti-VEGF injections to treat wet-AMD, DME, and related ocular diseases. Ongoing discussions with healthcare professionals aim to further enhance the concept.
How to use it
Our Bubble Adapter makes air-free filling as easy as it gets. Just follow these steps:
- Connect our silicone oil-free filter needle
- Connect a large-volume syringe
- Extract the medicine from the vial
- Disconnect the large syringe
- Connect a SJJ Solutions syringe
- Prefill the syringe air-free from the Bubble Adapter
Safely handling medicine
The ability to safely transfer medicine from a vial into a syringe is an important requirement for our customers. As filter needles are common practice for the withdrawal of medicines from vials, air bubbles are frequent issues. According to a recent study, flicking a syringe in order to remove air bubbles can lead to undesirable side-effects. Additionally, surface tension and medications with higher viscosities can make it nearly impossible to fill a syringe without introducing air bubbles.
